This adventure is best suited for travelers with a moderate to high fitness level. The 4-day Inca Trail involves hiking at high altitude with long uphill sections. Activities like sandboarding, ATV riding, and hiking to Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain also require a good basic level of endurance. Regular exercise before your trip is highly recommended!
Absolutely! Many travelers hike the Inca Trail and other treks as their first major hiking experience. Our guides are there to support you, and we schedule plenty of breaks. However, we strongly suggest preparing with hikes or cardio training beforehand.
It can be. You’ll be spending several days at high altitude (especially in Cusco and during the Inca Trail). We design the itinerary to allow for gradual acclimatization, but we recommend arriving in Peru in good health and talking to your doctor about altitude medication if you’re concerned. Staying hydrated and resting during your first days at altitude helps a lot!
Regardless of your accommodation choice, camping during the Inca Trail (3 nights) is always included.
Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain Tours include breakfast and lunch.
Yes — if you book early enough! Inca Trail permits are limited and sell out months in advance. Booking at least 4-6 months ahead is highly recommended to secure your permit.
This package is designed for small group travel, typically 8 to 18 travelers. This allows for a more personalized experience and flexibility on tours and hikes.
Yes! If you prefer upgraded hotel options, just let us know during booking. We offer optional upgrades in Lima, Paracas, Cusco, and Ollantaytambo.
Flights are not included in the base package price. We’re happy to help arrange your domestic flight from Lima to Cusco at competitive rates or provide guidance if you prefer to book it independently.
Definitely. While we encourage joining all the activities (they’re unforgettable!), everything except the Inca Trail is flexible. On free days or afternoons, you’re welcome to rest, explore, or add extra experiences.
The best months are April to October, during Peru’s dry season — perfect for hiking and sightseeing. March and November can also be great, but expect occasional showers. The Inca Trail is closed for maintenance in February.
Travel insurance is recommended. We suggest choosing a plan that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, and high-altitude trekking activities to travel with peace of mind.
While it’s not mandatory to join the trip, having coverage is highly advised to protect your investment and your health during your adventure.
